Follow the Leader

This clay sculpture is of two sea lions chasing each other around a spiral of kelp.  The spiral supports the sea lions as the swim on the outside of the kelp.  The kelp attached to the rock base with the root system called tie downs.  The base of the sculpture also includes a moray eel , starfish and other sea life.

The sculpture will eventually be cast into a bronze sculpture measuring 42 inches in height.  It will be a limited edition of 20.The final bronze sculpture will be self supporting and not require the pipe in the middle which supports the clay pieces.

The Mermaid

This 14 inch cube of Carrera marble is in the beginning stages of being carved into a mermaid sitting on a rock

Circle the Kids

This clay sculpture is motivated by a recent trip to Africa.  Numerous times I saw groups of elephants who constantly circled in the baby elephants to the center of the group for protection.  Children being children they were curious about what was going on and would leave the center of the group to get a view of the commotion going on around them.

This clay sculpture will eventually be cast into bronze for a limited edition of 20 sculptures
